About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced M&A Project Manager to join our team, based in Bangkok, with a global scope. In this pivotal role, you will drive our strategic mergers and acquisitions initiatives, specifically focused on cost optimization. This is a hands-on project management position where you will leverage your solid foundational M&A knowledge and practical experience to execute various initiatives from inception to completion across different regions. While we will utilize external agencies for specific industry connections, your expertise in managing complex global M&A processes and your proactive approach to learning new industries will be critical to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Project Leadership: Act as the primary project manager for all M&A initiatives with a global reach, overseeing all stages from due diligence to integration, with specific focus on identifying and realizing cost optimization opportunities.
- Strategic Execution: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors across various geographies to develop and implement M&A strategies designed to achieve identified cost efficiencies.
- Due Diligence Coordination: Manage and coordinate comprehensive due diligence efforts for global targets, working closely with financial, legal, and operational teams to assess potential acquisitions.
- Process Management: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for M&A activities, ensuring global projects stay on track and within scope.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication among all internal teams (e.g., finance, legal, operations, HR) and external partners involved in M&A projects across different time zones and cultures.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with global M&A projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Integration Support: Work closely with post-merger integration teams to ensure a smooth transition and successful realization of cost synergies and other strategic objectives.
- Continuous Learning: Proactively research and understand new industries, global market trends, and regulatory landscapes to identify potential M&A opportunities for cost optimization.
- Legal Acumen: Possess a basic understanding of M&A legal frameworks and contractual agreements across different jurisdictions, actively engaging with legal counsel throughout the process.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven practical experience working on M&A projects with a global perspective, demonstrating a solid foundational understanding of the M&A lifecycle.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-faceted global projects, with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for identifying and quantifying cost optimization opportunities.
- Legal Understanding: Basic understanding of legal principles relevant to M&A transactions in an international context.
- Adaptability & Learning: Eagerness and ability to proactively learn about new industries, global business models, and technical domains.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse global stakeholders. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and culturally diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in M&A projects specifically focused on global cost reduction or operational efficiency.
Familiarity with business practices and cultural nuances in various international markets.
